My orientation is informed by somatic, relational, attachment, and Jungian psychotherapies and theories; Nonviolent Communication; yoga; Ayurveda; embodiment practices; reading and dialoging with fiction; Western and Vedic astrology; and creative arts expressive practices. But perhaps most crucially, it is informed by my own life experience and healing from trauma, and my sincere wish to support others who are also making their way (ideally with a healthy dose of humor.)

I’m a graduate of Columbia University (MSW, 2017) and Wesleyan University (BA in English, 2014), and am licensed in New York State to practice as a psychotherapist. In my holistic wellness business, I provide holistic wellness consulting sessions, astrology sessions, Nonviolent Communication individual and mediation sessions, and workshops on my own or for organizations, both domestically and internationally.

Outside of running my own business, I currently work as a psychotherapist at Holistic Psychotherapy in New York City. I am currently co-writing College Mental Health 101: A Guide for Students, Parents, and Professionals with Dr. Christopher Willard and Dr. Blaise Aguirre, to be published by Oxford University Press in 2025. Previously, I worked as a counselor for men and trans women in the New York City jail system, as Mental Health Educator at Wesleyan University, and was a barista up to the two-Michelin-star level before entering my retirement from the service industry.

Some of the trainings I have attended include:

  • Fundamentals of Astrology with Austin Coppock

  • 9-day International Intensive Training in Nonviolent Communication

  • 450 hours of yoga, Ayurveda, and meditation Yoga Alliance-approved trainings (currently Registered Yoga Teacher [RYT-200] through Yoga Alliance)

  • Internal Family Systems with Dr. Frank Anderson

  • Polyvagal Theory with Deb Dana, LCSW

  • Basic Principles of Somatic Experiencing with Dr. Shideh Lennon, SEP

  • Nonviolent Communication Leadership Course with Miki Kashtan

Currently, I’m enrolled in a two-year Ayurvedic Practitioner program. Outside of all things wellness, I love to dance, draw, learn just about anything at all, and am obsessed with all things Nordic (I hope to be fluent in Norwegian, Danish, and Icelandic eventually!)
